Greetings from Sister Marlita/ Saludos de Sister Marlita
On Wednesday this past week, I shared the words/ melody to a song I wrote many moons ago, and even though some of you are not able to connect with that reflection on our website or Facebook, I want to share the Easter message that is so important for us to reiterate again and again and again. EASTER is not for a day, it is FOREVER.
”The tomb is empty, but our hearts are filled with joy, and this joy no one can end or destroy; for the Lord is truly risen on the third day, as He said, ALLELUIA, Christ is Risen from the dead.”
Friends, these days of sheltering at home and being a bit more isolated can sometimes work on us to forget that important truth. Our salvation was won by the death of Jesus, true, but more importantly, the rising of Jesus from that death is what we need to proclaim in faith, and shout it from the highest rooftops. Our own spirits need to hopefully believe that we, too, have the hope of eternal life. That can inspire us to be filled with hope, no matter what. This hope dispels all fear and anxiety, and reminds us that we together are one in the spirit of Jesus, even though we cannot yet celebrate Mass together physically.
RISEN JESUS, give us the courage to live with joy amidst our fears, to know you are with us even when we feel alone. May we be persons who share your life to help heal, comfort, strengthen and save in all ways possible. AMEN.

El miércoles de la semana pasada, compartí las palabras / melodía de una canción que escribí hace muchas lunas, y aunque algunos de ustedes no pueden conectarse con esa reflexión en nuestro sitio web o Facebook, quiero compartir el mensaje de Pascua que es Es tan importante para nosotros reiterar una y otra vez. PASCUA no es por un día, es PARA SIEMPRE.
"La tumba está vacía, pero nuestros corazones están llenos de alegría, y esta alegría nadie puede terminar o destruir; porque el Señor ha resucitado verdaderamente al tercer día, como dijo: ALELUIA, Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos ".
Amigos, estos días de refugio en casa y estar un poco más aislados a veces pueden ayudarnos a olvidar esa importante verdad. Nuestra salvación fue ganada por la muerte de Jesús, es cierto, pero lo que es más importante, la resurrección de Jesús de esa muerte es lo que debemos proclamar con fe y gritar desde los tejados más altos. Nuestros propios espíritus necesitan creer con suerte que nosotros también tenemos la esperanza de la vida eterna. Eso puede inspirarnos a estar llenos de esperanza, pase lo que pase. Esta esperanza disipa todo miedo y ansiedad, y nos recuerda que juntos somos uno en el espíritu de Jesús, a pesar de que aún no podemos celebrar la Misa juntos físicamente.
JESÚS RESUCITADO, danos el coraje de vivir con alegría en medio de nuestros miedos, para saber que estás con nosotros incluso cuando nos sentimos solos. Que seamos personas que compartan su vida para ayudar a sanar, consolar, fortalecer y ahorrar en todas las formas posibles. AMÉN.
