We celebrate the Feast of Pentecost today, and we also celebrate being able to receive Jesus in the Eucharist, if we so choose. Actually those two realties are closely connected. The coming of the Holy Spirit for the first time upon the Apostles at Pentecost brought the presence of Jesus again in a real way to those followers of The Way of Jesus. Today we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus. It recalls that Jesus after his resurrection returned to his Father in heaven, and promised to send the Holy Spirit to his followers to be with them until the end of time. Now that is some promise! Since we are still in the “sheltering at home” mode, I read with joy the words of Jesus in the Gospel today. He said to his disciples "DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.” Along with the message Father Dave gave us at Easter, to not be afraid, I believe this phrase of Jesus is a comfort and a great piece of advic
